Travis has called Lawrence County home since he was seven years old. He grew up hunting and fishing on his family's farm between Lawrence and Giles County. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and served tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. After the service, he moved his wife and young son back to Lawrence County where he started school and worked at a poultry farm. After transferring to MTSU, he received his degree in Agriculture with an emphasis in Animal Science.
Since college, Travis taught high school Agriculture in Giles County and has worked in his family's business in marketing and advertising. He and his wife now have 3 sons and are heavily involved in their church and community. Travis enjoys coaching youth sports and serves on the local baseball board.
